How safe are heat mats, spotted python?
hey guys just wondering. i have had a spotted python for about 1 year and i currently have a heat light with a small 50W bulb in it (its like one of those ones with a reflector and has a reddish color). the first bulb lasted about 6 mths then it blew. so i went and bought another bulb and installed and about 3 days later i noticed it had blown already. thinking i was just a faulty bulb i went to buy another and installed it, this time it blew within the first DAY...so i have decided to change to a heat mat under the tank...so FINALLY getting to my question, are heat mats safe?, do they work well? and do they use up alot of electricity.

Sony rear projection TV's (especially large screen TVs) tend to burn out pretty quickly compared to other sets. A new bulb will cost you around $200 and another $150 for someone to come out and install it. However, since it sounds like you already know how to do it, save yourself some money and install it yourself.

Here in NZ we have energy saver lights (started appearing about a year ago or more), they have 2 colour temps..... -1. cool white (daylight 5500k roughly)

I've found color temp varies with bulbs from the same package for crying out loud. The CFL's are great, but getting two or more of the same color is difficult at best. Perhaps a solution here in the digital age would be to set the appropriate color balance for each of the two bulbs, take two shots, then blend them in PS as layers. Similar to a multiple exposure bracket series for a HDR composite. I've never tried it, but my instinct tells me it should blend ok. Shooting in RAW would be your best bet, where you can controll the overall color temp from each shot in post processing...

My tv screen is getting dark!?
We have a 60%26quot; Mitsubishi Electric Projection tv that is only one year old. Just a few days ago we noticed it getting really dark compared to being really brilliant! It's probably been getting darker right before our eyes for awhile now but it's pretty apparent now. Does anyone know what it could be? A bulb? There are no colors like red or green showing in the corners like other people describe or lines. Just the brightness is gone and trying to make it brighter by going to the settings doesn't do a thing. The color or brightness does not change. HELP! My monitor is AOC one and it is about 03 years old . For the first time yesterday while I was working on the computer the monitor went black and came back as norma and again... This happened several times. Adding a lighting system to my comp?
It is not a very big question, but I just got a new computer and i would like to add a few neon lights to its chassis, but I also want to be able to change its color through software (yes, the light would be multicolor). Almost like the AlienFX thing for Alienware computers. It doesn't need to be neon, also, but if it is going to be regular bulb lights, they must be good quality and long lasting. Preferably, I would like the whole system to be internally powered, and can just plug into some port in my computer. USB would be fine. I would like to put the lights right on my chassis outline, so just along the edges, up, down, and across. Like I said, I would like this to be a Software to Hardware connection. Where can I purchase this kind of thing or learn to make it?Adding a lighting system to my comp?Err to be honest, unless you get very good neons i wouldn't bother with them because there have been some cases where the neons have blown when inside the case and the people had to rebuy the computer as it blew the immediate hardware to where the neons were.

What can i use for powerful UV radiation?
Hi im in the middle of a little science project that requires UV light and my 9W nail dryer works fine but it takes ages to get it right so i needs something more powerful. I checked around on internet and found blacklight bulbs (up to 400W) but im wondering, does it produce the same type of radiation as my nail dryer or is it somehow filtred for nightclub use? The project is about colour change so i guess i need all the harmfull stuff that it emmits. Any help?What can i use for powerful UV radiation?Those blacklights for nightclubs are pretty strong since they have to light up a huge area, and are probably a lot stronger than your nail dryer.

Pre-Lit Noma tree that won't light?
It is the one with the remote where it changes colors. It was working last night and the light on the remote indicates that the problem is not with the remote. It is brand new and only a week from Xmas. I really need it to work. My hubby accidentally pulled the plug from the wall late last night but I can't see that being a problem. Everything seems to be plugged in now. We also replaced a broken bulb. It is not lighting at all. Any one have any suggestions?

Infected cut question...?
A week ago I scrapped a small chunk of skin off of my right ring finger along the right side of my nail. A couple days later it it became red and a small red bulb appeared over the cut. I have bumped it a couple of times and it bleeds for a moment and it is a bit sensitive to touch but none of the surrounding area is red or painful.
I apply peroxide and triple antibiotic cream 3-4 times daily and other than the base of the bulb turning back to a regular skin color nothing has changed.
Is this just a wait it out thing and keep doing what I am or should I seek help?Infected cut question...?Run your tap water till it's as hot as it gets, and then QUICKLY stick the sore in and out, in and out of the hot water. I mean, it's going to burn your sore, but, it will help to start healing. Secondly, don't put peroxide on it anymore, ok? Trust me on this one. Hopefully you have some honey in the house. Apply the honey and bandage it up so you don't get anything sticky. Do the honey twice a day. I guarantee you the honey WILL start to heal it.

The strange part is鈥?the car seems to be MORE powerful on a full tank of gas rather than on 录 tank, 陆 tank, or even 戮 tank! The car just likes FRESH gas! How bitchy is that?!
鈥?The dome light on the inside: It blows every 3 days. Every time I change the bulb, it blows 3 days later. This has happened 3 times already. I gave up. Flashlight it is!
鈥?The car seems to be losing oil somewhere. I have checked my parking spot, and usually check the parking spot where I park at work. I also have checked my parking spot at my sisters and my grandmother鈥檚 houses. No sign of oil leak anywhere. However, every 2-3 months I end up having to put a quart of oil in the car. STRANGE.
鈥?The car is REALLY good on gas. A trip from Gainesville Fl to Fort Lauderdale Fl (315 miles, 4.5 hours) only uses half a tank of gas! However, when my best friend drives the car, it seems to burn double the amount of gas. We typically have just about the same driving style鈥?I鈥檓 just gonna assume that my car doesn like my best friend. :/
鈥?The gas meter works properly. However, let鈥檚 say there鈥檚 录 tank of gas left鈥?If you remove the gas cap for a minute or so, then cap the tank again, the needle reads that I have a bit more gas than before.
鈥?The radio chooses to turn all the way up or all the way down on its own. Totally randomly too. This is not a stock radio. It is an aftermarket JVC CD/AM/FM radio.
鈥?This car does NOT like the cold weather at all. This is strange because the car has a Canadian engine in it. I assume this because when I had to buy a distributer cap or some other strange thing that goes under the hood, I had to get the Canadian specification of the part. Any who, when the weather is cold outside, I start the car with the clutch. When I let loose the clutch after starting there is a CLUMP noise. This is the ONLY time there is that clumping noise. Also, when the engine is cold, the car is HELL to drive. Shifting gears? Virtually impossible. You have to baby the clutch. Seriously, like an infant clutch or something.
鈥?Remember we talked about how weak the car is in power? When the AC or the Heater is turned on, the car SIGNIFICANTLY looses MORE power. When the car is idle, I have to hold my foot on the gas pedal slightly to keep the engine revving high enough so that it doesn shake really bad. But once again, this is ONLY when the AC or Heater is on.
鈥?I have had the car for almost 2.5 years. The AC works perfect. Never put any Freon. I thought I would have had to by now but it still blows VERY cold and sometime I turn it off and on in increment because it blows so well!
鈥?There is a rumbling noise every time I hit a bump with the rear passenger side of the car. This also happens anytime there is a fat person on the passenger side of the car. I have spent more than 600 dollars troubleshooting this noise but no one can figure it out. New motor mounts, new struts and shocks, muffler checked out, exhaust pipe checked out, etc. No mechanic can seem to figure out the noise.
鈥?Keys. When I insert my key with the logo Up on the key and start the car, I am able to pull the key out o f the ignition. However, when I use the key with the logo facing down, I cannot pull the key out of the transmission unless I turn the car off.
鈥?Toyota Camry鈥檚 are known for their broken door handles, but my car is a bit different. Vengeful if I may. Everytime I fix ONE door, ANOTHER door breaks. When I got the car, one back door didn have a handle. I put a new one on and the OTHER back door handle broke. So I put a new handle on THAT door and the lock on the inside of the OTHER back door broke. So once I had my dad to fix that lock, the outside handle on the OTHER door broke again. I then changed it AGAIN, and now the lock on the other side is broken again. Oh well, forget it!
鈥?I have had this car for 2.5 years and the driver side headlight STILL works. I have changed the passanger side headlight at least 4 times.
鈥?I have never had to change the brake lights.
鈥?I have new battery terminals. However sometimes they still disengage. If the car wont start, just open the door, then slam it. This is JUST ENOUGH force by shaking the car to make the battery terminals connect closely enough again.
Overall I am very satisfied with the car鈥?I mean I put about 22,000 miles on it every year for 2 years in a row and it still rides great with little maintainence...鈥?But its just weird! A VERY WEIRD CAR!My VERY strange car....?To whom it may concern: What you have here is a Wednesday car, Let me explain the car was Manufactured on Wednesday, which is the best manufacturing day.

Now: in-spite of the lack of maintenance(which is what is causing all your woes) done on this car, it still refuses too quit,
Each problem can be attributed too a lack of maintenance. So you either spend hundreds too
replace all of your worn out parts, or drive it till it quits.
Try having the timing set to restore some power, also it might be time too replace that timing
belt? Replace every 70K.
Wiring problems are the cause of your light problems.
Your battery cables need to be checked, especially were they connect to the engine?
Clean and tighten all Grounds.

Tanning Beds + New Bulbs = Burn! Possible Remedies?
I have been tanning since April because I wanted to have some color for the summer. I only go about 2-3 times a week and for only 8 minutes.
I have a wedding on Saturday and when I went tanning last night, I was informed that the bulbs were just changed last week and they needed to cut my time. Therefore, I went in for five minutes and was fine. I went again today and the woman told me five minutes and I asked if six was too much and both attendents said I would be fine. So, I went in and I came out with a burn on my right forearm only. I am thinking it must have been the way I had my arm and it must have been over a bulb.
Does anyone have any remedies? Like I said, I have the wedding Saturday and I would really hate for it to blister.
Also, I am canceling my membership next month so please don't message me about how horrible tanning is. It was only a summer thing and plan to go back to being pale.

The only thing that may be affected are live plants, but if you have fake plants it shouldn't be a big deal. I would still hang onto the white bulbs if it seems like the fish don't like it. It depends on two things, the type of fish you have in the tank and the plants (if any) you have in there. In fact, you are burning the filment I believe to produce the light and with the salt, the flame should grow bigger when you add the salt to it. Maybe blue, right! Blue means the flame is burning hotter! Check your light spectrum in your text book. The blue should be on the more energetic side when you put in this equation E = hv. They are extremely bright on the road while driving and in my opinion, really help you see more clearly.Car headlights!?Yes, just remember your numbers when buying it...

They had a blue cover with a mirror in the back, a figurine or scene in the middle with fiber optics in it. The fiber optics change colors via a color wheel in the bottom that covered a nightlight bulb. I have seen many variations of these (my grandpa used to give them as Christmas presents) mine has a Christmas scene in it, my great aunts has iris's in it.

Does anyone know where i can find gauge face overlays for a 1995 mercury mystique 2.0 4 cyl.??????? I can only find one (http://www.importcarpartsplus.com/contou鈥?/a> its for contour/mystique, BUT when the lights are on, the numbers and markings still light up my factory color (green). I'd like to find some that light up blue. Or is it possible to change the bulbs in the cluster to change the glow color( or is that just way too hard?) any suggestions would be great.

My father has a large tropical community aquarium which contains a LOT of bog wood. Despite regular water changes the water is stained with tannins from the wood. The tank is well established (3 yrs), has contained the bogwood since day one, and yet the amber colour in the water is still a problem. In fact it seems worse now than it has ever been. I'm sure the Royal Panache he has in there is compounding the problem, but he is loathed to removed him.
For Fathers Day I am considering getting him an actinic light (T8 48%26quot;) to go with his 3 other bulbs. Do you think this would counter the orange appearance of the tannins in the water, and are there any other problems this type of bulb could cause in a tropical setup? It may be worth mentioning that he does have a lot of plants in the tank also.

The Panaque Pleco is probably contributing to the problem by eating away at the driftwood and constantly exposing fresh wood and new tannins to leach out.
If the current lights are enough for the plants., leave that alone. Buy him another filter and a bag of carbon, and/or a Python water changer.

Any fish that is of the black water in nature will be more brilliant in color and more active since it's a natural setting for them.

Questions about a ball python?
Should the ball of water be on the side where the lamp is or on the other side? What substrate could i use that looks nice? Do i keep the lamp on at night? If so, do i change the type of bulb? If so what kind? watts, Uv light, Color etc. Oh and could you tell me fun times or bad times u had with your ball python? Like have u lost it in your house in stuff or sumething funny it does. I like stories owners tell bout their pets.Questions about a ball python?You will need a source of daytime lighting which can be provided by using a reptile daytime spot light. This will also provide a source of heat and a basking spot. You may also wish to provide a nighttime bulb or ceramic heater to maintain the temperature at night without the bright light which would disturb the snake at night. Do not use a white light at night! You should provide an overall enclosure temperature of 80-85掳F with a basking spot around 95掳F. Night time temperatures can drop to 75-80掳F, but no drop is required. If using light bulbs for heat, be sure that they are placed in such a way that the snake cannot contact any hot surfaces. You can also provide heat through under tank heaters and specialty reptile heating platforms. Be sure to use a thermoregulator to allow for better control over the temperature. The heated area does need to be large enough for the entire snake to bask. I know many people will disagree with them needing UVb, but in the wild they receive small amounts at dusk and dawn(they do sometimes bask at these times) and diffused penetration between rocks,bark and other cover. This is why I advise the use of a bulb that has low UV measurements- like Flukers Repta-Sun Black Light Bulb at night. The combination of a heat pad and light(and/or heat emitter) work best.
My first exotic was a ball python I got when I was 7 or 8. I named it Skull, never did know the sex. Unfortanitly it only live about 4 months it died of Inclusion Body Disease. For substrate, I use shredded coconut fiber. It can be found at petco and petsmart easily, and isn't real expensive. Plus, it looks very nice.. especially with some wood and fake plants; I've got my tanks set up with a jungle theme!
I don't have ball pythons, but I've got carpet pythons- and they are pretty darn closely related.. you can even interbreed them to get carpalls.
One time, I was driving.. and had my snake in a container. Well, my friend thought it'd be cool to take him out and play with him during the car ride.. and you guessed it, he got into the steering column. It was February, so it still got below freezing at night, and snowed on occasion too.. Unfortunately, by the time I was able to completely dismantle my car, he was dead. :(
A funny (but not really) story happened today with my boy Jaguar. He decidede that the rat I was offering him wasn't what he wanted, so he struck and latched onto my hand instead. He was completely coiled around, had his teeth deep into my finger and was trying to figure out how to digest me. It took over 5 minutes of running him under cold water before he finally got off- and he got me good! I was bleeding quite a bit. Good thing he's still only 10 months and isn't too big yet.I would put the light on the other side. I use paper and a bit of aspen, u can use all aspen but don't feed it in there it can cause digestion problems. i wouldn''t keep the light on at night, their nocturnal so they will be up when it's dark which is in the night. when my mum had a ball python it wouldn't ever eat frozen food, we don't know why, but we had to breed mice and rats for it, then it ate. Another problem we had was we had a light in his tank, one time he wrapped himself around it and wouldn't come down, he ended up getting burnt and had to go to the vets - couldn't get him down and he wouldn't get down. apart from that he was great. We had reptiles for along time, my snakes are a common boa constrictor, and 2 corn snakes, my mum has a dumerils boa and my granddad has a californian desert phase king snake. Their all great, my common boa is only small now but she is so strong if she doesn't want to go anywhere she won't. My granddad made my a new vivarium for my corn snake and the first night she was in there she got out, we looked everywhere and then we found her underneath the unit where the vivarium was, this was at about 11.30 at night. It was funny a few days later. I love my snakes and i think they are the best pets anyone could have.

My hitachi tvs blue doesnt line up with other colors ive turned off the blue but need a better solution?
the blue is about an inch away from the other colors. it is very defined not blury or distorted just not lined up causing a blue shadow above everything. If there are word on my screen in a normal color there will be the exact same words just above in just blue. iv cleaned the lense and even tried changing with the red (not the bulb just the lens) still no change. ive adjusted the colors on the front of the tv(behind the front face) and have now turned off the blue so the kids can still watch tv but is a little difficult to watch Blues clues without the color Blue....PLEASE helpMy hitachi tvs blue doesnt line up with other colors ive turned off the blue but need a better solution?Sounds like your convergence amps have retired ! Because now I have to wonder if that was your ORIGINAL problem to begin with....
IF NOT....then you probably rotated the CENTERING MAGNETS on the Blue CRT, and you need to get back in there and realign them using the glue marks to reposition them to the manufacturer's original position.
They should never be changed, unless you replaced the blue CRT......
Now, to see if your CONVERGENCE amps are bad....go into the Flash Focus or the Auto Focus %26lt;%26lt;OR%26gt;%26gt; the manual convergence and see if the BLUE MOVES UP/DOWN and LEFT/RIGHT......
If it doesn't....then the amps need replaced, along with the resistors.....THEN you can align it with the Auto Focus or the Manual Convergence....laptop cant turn on website hosting

What looks better in medium goldish blonde hair, highlights or lowlights?
want my hair a little lighter so i was thinking highlights but people said that getting lowlights brings out your color and makes it look lighter. and then people said the roots with medium blonde hair are ugly and lowlights arent as bad.
my concern is what they would look like with different lighting because my hair has a major color change when it comes to different lighting!

The American Idol girl has highlights. You can tell by looking at her roots. And over time the grow-out would not be as noticed due to your already naturally rich color.
The difference between your hair and the American Idol girl's hair is your hair seems to have more gold, yes, where as her blonde is more ashy like mine. (I stopped highlighting my hair about 3 years ago)

With ashy its a lot easier to tell because the natural color is not as rich as the dye

Okay so the best light is ALWAYS natural light.
I don't know when you get up to do your make up...but my advice would be to open a window (if you have one in your bathroom) or go to a room that has a window and use the sunlight to apply your make up. It will look much more even...it's amazing what sunlight does to help with this.
And the nifty thing about this...after a few times of doing your make up in the sun, you learn just how much you need so for those times that you don't have the sun to use, you know how much to put on.
When there's no sun or you just don't have the ability to use sunlight...try using as much light at possible. For example...if the kitchen has better lighting...do your make up in the kitchen.

I have a 95 honda accord and the ac/heater dash controls have gone out. I want to change the dash color to blue but i dont know exactly how the green color is made. My Samsung DLP HDTV has a flickering screen after about an hour or so of being on?
First off the LAMP indicator light blinks a couple times after I turn the t.v. on so I'm guessing I need to replace lamp bulb, and after I turn it off, before the main issue can happen (flickering) the STANDBY/TEMP light turns and stays on.
I noticed while watching t.v. before the actual flickering the brightness and colors slightly changing. And after turning the t.v. off because the flickering it wont turn back on, and the screen goes blank while it makes a loud whirling noise that continues until I unplug the t.v. Changing 2009 Chevy Avalanche headlamps to HID Xenon Bulbs... How do I change them?
Hey,
I had a turning signal die within a week of the purchase date. I brought it back and they had to remove the entire plastic cover of the headlamps to change it (scraping the bottom of the plastic cover and my truck.. but thats beside the point)
Now I am interested in getting a HID Xenon conversion kit..
first off... any recommendations? im looking for white, not any colors (blue, purple, etc).
Secondly.. How do I change it?
Do I have to pry off the cover like they did?
I looked through the manual and it just explains the taillights,
and I have changed many a car's headlamps, but this one is different.

2010 Altima with Xenon Headlights?
I own a 2010 Altima Coupe which currently has Xenon lights installed.. I want to change the Xenon Bulbs of my car to a whiter/bluer color which burns at 8000K, but I asked the Nissan Dealership if it would cause issues with the electrical and they said it would.
So would changing the bulbs cause any issues?2010 Altima with Xenon Headlights?I dont se why it should.. the Voltage (85v) and Wattage (35w) of the bulb is the same I dont think it will cause issue. Why does my Jandy Colors pool light fade and shut off after warm up?
My pool light was out for a few months and I changed a couple of bulbs that were burnt out. Now the light will work, but only temporary as it will heat up and fade out. If I carry on like this would I have an OCD, what do I do?
Well about 6 years ago, my school took all our class to a trip which was over a few days because we was leaving that school and going to an older school.
The rooms had like 5 beds in and they all had night lights next to them which the front cover came off , so because there were 6 girls there were 3 of us in 2 rooms.
Then on the last night me and this girl from the other room was sat in my bed at about 3am and we both got a mood bracelet from the shop, and we was both playing with them (as you do when your like 11/12), so I was thinking to myself does this bracelet actually know what your mood is or is it changing because of your temperature...
So me and my friend decided to put it near the light on the night light whilst it was on, but it didn't change colour. So then I had a stupid idea that didn't seem so stupid at the time, so I decided to put it inside of the night light (which meant take off the guard to it) and it did change colour, so I though well if it was around the light bulb would that make it change colour, so me and my friend did that. As I was putting it around the light bulb I got a shock, and then the light went out and it started to spark! So my friend jumped off the bed and turned the light on, so me being stupid though well if there was no electricity goin to the light, it would stop sparking right? But how wrong was I! I put the cover around my hand (so I didn't get a shock again) and I switched the switch to the light, and the sparking stopped then like a fire ball shot out of the switch hole and set fire to my bed!
So me and my friend woke everybody up in the room, and went to the other room where my twin sister was sleeping and we woke them up, then because my friend was too scared to be told off she pretended she was asleep.
So I went into the kitchen part where all the teachers were still awake talking, so I went in crying my eyes out, was shaking, couldn't talk good, and I told them my bed was on fire, so they told me to go outside and do what we all practised when there was a fire drill so I ran outside, and stood in the middle of the carpark on my own until the fire alarm went off and everybody came out.
My headteacher was calling me a liar about what happend, and yes I admit I lied, I said I was putting the cover back on and I was holding the bracelet and I got a shock and let go and it went around the light bulb, haha I know its a lame lie but I was 11, scared, and was crapping it that my dad would find out and shout at me.
So its now been nearly 6 years since then. I never did science experiments that involved fire, or chemicals because I was scared ild do something to cause a fire. Im scared of candles, and when my mum lights one I sit looking at it so it doesn't set on fire, at night I turn off all the plugs in my room, and go around the house closing all the doors and turning lights off. When I have my lamp on because its near my window I keep making sure nothing it covering it so it doesn't set on fire, I jump everytime I hear a noise, when I am using my laptop I have to check where the box on it is which means making sure its not under or ontop of anything, I always have to know nothing is touching the wires for my tv, I cant leave my laptop running over night because I am scared it will set on fire and if I know a plug is turned on I cant sleep.
What is wrong with me?

The rooms had like 5 beds in and they all had night lights next to them which the front cover came off , so because there were 6 girls there were 3 of us in 2 rooms.
Then on the last night me and this girl from the other room was sat in my bed at about 3am and we both got a mood bracelet from the shop, and we was both playing with them (as you do when your like 11/12), so I was thinking to myself does this bracelet actually know what your mood is or is it changing because of your temperature...
So me and my friend decided to put it near the light on the night light whilst it was on, but it didn't change colour. So then I had a stupid idea that didn't seem so stupid at the time, so I decided to put it inside of the night light (which meant take off the guard to it) and it did change colour, so I though well if it was around the light bulb would that make it change colour, so me and my friend did that. As I was putting it around the light bulb I got a shock, and then the light went out and it started to spark! So my friend jumped off the bed and turned the light on, so me being stupid though well if there was no electricity goin to the light, it would stop sparking right? But how wrong was I! I put the cover around my hand (so I didn't get a shock again) and I switched the switch to the light, and the sparking stopped then like a fire ball shot out of the switch hole and set fire to my bed!
So me and my friend woke everybody up in the room, and went to the other room where my twin sister was sleeping and we woke them up, then because my friend was too scared to be told off she pretended she was asleep.
So I went into the kitchen part where all the teachers were still awake talking, so I went in crying my eyes out, was shaking, couldn't talk good, and I told them my bed was on fire, so they told me to go outside and do what we all practised when there was a fire drill so I ran outside, and stood in the middle of the carpark on my own until the fire alarm went off and everybody came out.
My headteacher was calling me a liar about what happend, and yes I admit I lied, I said I was putting the cover back on and I was holding the bracelet and I got a shock and let go and it went around the light bulb, haha I know its a lame lie but I was 11, scared, and was crapping it that my dad would find out and shout at me.

When is the best time in spring to plant flower bulbs?
I want to plant several different kinds of bulbs in my front yard garden. Will I have to change up the soil or mulch? I'm not sure if I should re do the whole garden or not. I just bought this house 6 months ago and the front garden is nice but I want to brighten it up with color. The soil feels and looks fine. Also any time in the spring thats the best? Different types of bulbs like to be planted at different times. An example would be daffodils. They wanted to be planted in fall so they could be gathering strength during the winter. They would then be among the first to pop up during very early spring. Bulbs you plant now will likely bloom much later. There is so much info on the internet now. You can have fun researching which ones you want, whether they want sun or shade, sandy soil or loamy soil, heavy or light water etc....
Also, You should consider planting bulbs for later color but fill in the space and get immediate visual results by planting annuals or some perrenials not in buld form.

Kenyi cichlids lost color after 2 days from store.?
What do you believe is the most important environmental parameter that affects how colorful african cichlids are? I assumed that it was PH, but that doesn't seem to be the case. I have a tank buffered with seachem Malwai buffer at 7.8 or so. All of my fish in the tank have lost their color %26amp; are pretty bland.
I purchased 2 kenyi cichlids this week. I have observed them in the store for a month %26amp; they were stable and hadn't changed much. I get them home %26amp; 2 days later, the male has lost half of his yellow color. This tells me that I have an environmental constraint that's keeping these guys from coloring up.
What gives? Light frequency, light duration, some mineral that's missing from the water? The only thing I can think of is light frequency. I have a 32w T5 7k full spectrum and a 32w 4k T5 plant bulb. The light IS heavy on the red side. It was originally for a planted aquarium.

I can't remember the name but it sounds like this may be one problem. Sounds like everything is pretty spot on in your tank (i would up my pH but what you have is fine), my inital thought is that it is just a new environment for them, they are trying to figure out where they are, not to stumble on anyone elses territory (whether there are other fish in there or not)

As long as they are eating %26amp; acting pretty normally i shouldn't worry too much. After a week or so they should colour up as, maybe the guy in the shop can elighten you as to what environmental constraints you aren't quite spot on with!

Hallucination/Dream Interpretation: Can you clear this up?
OK. I smoked some very intense marijuana last night ... and had quite an experience. Could you interpret what these hallucinations mean .... because I feel that they have a symbolic importance. Perhaps my subconscious mind manifesting hidden desires. ect ... ??
Here's what I saw.
There seemed to be this red almost fabric looking mass of dots that was somewhat see-through. It kept moving around.
Then I looked over across the yard (I was outside at night) at the wooden fence. There were faces changing emotion over and over almost in a fluid like movement.
Then as I was smoking a menthol I happened to look at my smoke and I swear I saw birds made of smoke flying around. It was beautiful.
The whole time I felt this continual %26quot;in-and-out%26quot; feeling of different stages of consciousness.
It was all very wonderful and I did very much enjoy it .... but is there a hidden meaning behind these hallucination?

I am looking for lamps, that are inexpensive that I can either change the bulbs in them to blues, pinks, green, yellow or that I can put plastic over the top to change the color. well me and my friend are doing a project in chemistry and we have to pop a balloon and we have to use alka-seltzer or baking soda and vinegar.. but we don't really know what to do.. we could do more than just pop a balloon ex: blow out a candle or make something change colors.. or light a match or turn on a light bulb.. so i don't know??How can you pop a balloon using alka-seltzer?If you want to pop a balloon usking alka-seltzer, you need to first prepare a balloon with a little bit of water in it. In a few seconds/minutes, enough gas (CO2) will be generated to increase the pressure inside the balloon, and ....POP! Be careful not to be too close to the balloon when it pops, and use safety glasses.How can you pop a balloon using alka-seltzer?Put some alka-seltzers in a bottle of water, then put a balloon on top of the bottle. Keep it air-tight. Alka-seltzers resolved in water will release carbon-dioxide, which will blow a balloon and - booom!

I have a set-up like this in my basement where I start seeds for outdoor gardening and keep houseplants that spend the warm weather on my back porch.

I have a renault megane P reg 1997.
I changed a break light bulb and the next day all the light on the dashboard went.When I use to press the breaks all the lights use to come on.
I changed the whole circuit board and the put a new bulbs but now no lights comes on now.
I suspect I might have blown a fuse when I fiddled with the lights but I am not sure which one would be the right fuse, the colour or the number.
Can you help.
Any suggestions is much appreciated.
