Jehovah's Witnesses - question about the "Light getting brighter as the end draws near"?

This is the term used when a change in made in the way you interpret the bible. An example of this is the meaning of the term %26quot;generation%26quot; that will not pass away. At one time, it was thought it was meant the people living around 1914. Then that was changed to mean something else a couple times. Would the expression about the %26quot;light getting brighter%26quot; be better replaced with something like the colour of the bulb being changed to better describe these changes?Jehovah's Witnesses - question about the %26quot;Light getting brighter as the end draws near%26quot;?Well, the light getting brighter only works if the change happens once and there is no reverting to the past doctrine. But in some cases (like with organ transplants) there are doctrinal flip-flops. So one cannot explain that by the light getting brighter.

Or in the case of yourself and your Anti-JW hate group cult pals (like Rustic), the light just stays off and you keep groping in the dark.

Those in Christendom don't realise that they are in the dark spiritually.

Satan likes it that way as he wants to take as many with him as he can when he goes.

Still using the analogy of a path, Solomon declares: “But the path of the righteous ones is like the bright light that is getting lighter and lighter until the day is firmly established.” (Proverbs 4:18) Undertaking a study of the Bible and trying to apply what it says in life can be likened to starting out on a journey in the early morning darkness. As the blackness of the night sky lightens to dark blue, we can hardly see anything. But as the dawn gradually breaks, we slowly distinguish more and more of our surroundings. Finally, the sun shines brightly, and we see everything in clear detail. Yes, the truth gradually becomes clearer to us as we persist in studying the Scriptures patiently and diligently. Supplying the heart with spiritual nourishment is essential if we are to safeguard it against false reasoning.

The meaning or significance of Bible prophecies also unfolds progressively. Prophecies become clear to us as Jehovah’s holy spirit sheds light upon them and as they are fulfilled by world events or in the experiences of God’s people. Rather than impatiently resorting to speculations about their fulfillment, we need to wait for ‘the light to become lighter and lighter.’

it means they can't admit they were wrong

yet they berate other denominations for 'minor' prophecies which failed to come true

they go out of their way to deny 1975, that was in living memory,

too many people know about it, yet they will whistle throguh their teeth and say, oh i wasn't a witness then

they do it to themsleves....that's why it really hurts
No, %26quot;light getting brighter%26quot; is much more accurate.
